Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese treatment method that involves inserting very thin, single-use, sterilized needles into specific points – called acupuncture points – all over the body. The needles are so fine that you barely feel them go into your skin, and the entire process is comfortable and extremely relaxing.
The traditional Chinese explanation begins with the idea that your vital energy – called qi or chi – flows throughout your body along meridians or channels. It is the disruption of this flow of energy that leads to health problems. Acupuncture points are specific points along these qi meridians, and each point is associated with an organ or system of the body. By needling the appropriate acupuncture points, the flow of blood and qi is corrected and the illness or disease is improved.
The Western explanation maintains that inserting the acupuncture needles stimulates the release of the body’s natural painkillers (endorphins), induces relaxation, and increases blood flow. It is these beneficial effects – not the correction of qi – that results in reduced symptoms and an increased sense of well being.
When you make your appointment, you will be asked to fill out a complete health history evaluation prior to coming into the office. This helps us create your file and keep your practitioner aware of your condition and concerns. We’ll ask you to arrive 10-15 minutes early and you can relax in our state-of-the-art waiting room. Once it’s time for your appointment, you’ll be taken into a private treatment room where you’ll get a detailed health history and evaluation by your acupuncturist, which usually takes 20-30 minutes depending on your condition, illnesses, or concerns. This detailed evaluation helps us determine how we can best help you and how we can make your acupuncture sessions most effective.
After you discuss everything with one of our board certified Arizona acupuncturists, they will dim the lights and you will be asked to lie down and relax on one of our oversized, comfortable treatment beds where your acupuncturist will then start your treatment.
The initial appointment is $50, which covers the complete evaluation and the first session of acupuncture. Follow up appointments are $40 each.

3 + 1 = ? Please prove that you are human by solving the equation *
“I went through blood test with Tom and found where I react foodwise. I went through an elimination diet too, underwent the supplementation program. It’s just remarkable. It has tripled my training capacity. My ability to handle long hard work workouts has tripled. When you think about a guy that is 50 years old that can train three times as much as other guys, it really is kind of an unfair disadvantage. This has been a life changing experience for me as an athlete… I’m working out longer and harder now then I did when I was 20 and I’m recovering better from it.”
“… words are inadequate, money is not always a measure of great things done for others, and how does one show heartfelt appreciation. I am not sure that I have the answers to the above questions. But from one human being to another, for all that you have done for me, and will yet do, thank you from my soul (the bottom of my heart), my family thanks you, and the many people that I will affect for good in the future they will thank you. There is nothing more important than to say thank you, thank you, and thank you.”
“Dear Dr. Tom and staff, Thank you for taking such good care of my brother. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate everything you’ve done.”
“…They completely fixed my shoulder. I haven’t had shoulder pain in 6 months. They genuinely want to help you. If you have something else that is not even what you came here for, they will find a way to fix it for you.”
